League Commissioners

Lyndon Rec has used Commissioners in the past with a variety of names. We are going to institute Commissioners again beginning with the Spring 2022 season. The roles of the Commissioners are:

Serve on an advisory committee reporting to the General Manager. Please note, this does not give the commissioner any authority to make any changes and the commissioner will not be asked or expected to serve with any authority. This is simply a role of advisory to help organize the league & division as effectively as possible.
Help with communication from the main office to the teams/coaches. This may include things from rain outs to all star games. We do asks that each coach contact the commissioner first with any basic question but the main office is always available for any questions.
In some cases, the commissioner may take upon more duties but this is not required and will be based on the desire and experience of the commissioner.
Selection of the commissioners will be primarily based on any interested person initiating to the GM they are interested in being a commissioner. If more than one indicates interest, the GM will make the final decision through discussions and experience.
The commissioner does not need to be a coach but this is preferred.
The GM has the right to add additional members to the Advisory Committee to strengthen the quality of the committee.
The commissioner can be removed from that role by the GM.
